My son has been taking piano lessons from Rob for the past several years. Rob started helping him with popular music as he was tired of classical music, lol! But things took a turn into beginner's jazz and they are having a great time with it. There's a whole other world of music out there in jazz in terms of rhythm and feel and improvisation. It's good for my son's right brain activity to keep being creative and to keep him thinking on his feet (actually, sitting on the piano bench, lol). Rob is a great piano teacher and we highly recommend him. Here is what my son has to say to Rob personally:

Rob is absolutely a delight! Our daughter has been taking lessons with Rob for a few months now, both piano and vocal lessons. My daugther always looks forward to her sessions with Rob and she has improved immensely with her piano and singing. Rob is super technical but knows how to relay that to the kids in a friendly, kind and fun way so the kids don't feel like this is work.

I have been taking lessons from Rob for two years now and couldn't be happier. As an adult learner, I had been struggling to find a teacher I "clicked" with, and had been really frustrated. Rob was the first teacher that really understood when I said I wanted to play rock and popular music. He's also really done a great job of helping me push my boundaries and I feel like I've really seen a lot of improvement in my confidence and my ability. During the last couple year he's been incredibly flexible both online and in person, which is a huge plus.

Rob is an extraordinary teacher, a talented musician, and above all, committed to his students. I am one of his older adult students. First, Rob really knows his stuff. But beyond that, his approach with me has been very flexible and dynamic. It isn't based on rigid series of learning steps. It's an individualized approach that works because he's really good at listening and explaining and is willing to let my questions and the things I want to learn about serve as the guide to his instruction. I'm looking forward to more lessons with Rob -- he's a keeper.

My 6 years old girl did not give any response to Rob in her first class. Rob is very patient with my shy kids. His classes are fun and interesting. Now both of my girls love Rob's piano class.

Rob is a wonderful piano teacher. He’s professional and yet very friendly. My 7yo is introverted and Rob has been able to keep her engage. She’s now excited to play during the week and is learning a great deal.... even with the challenges of learning via Zoom. I highly recommend him to any family who wants to learn piano.

Rob is lovely! He is great with my kids they enjoy his teaching style which really focuses on the individual child’s interests and this motivates them to learn and have fun at the same time! He also is a great at providing detailed information on how the kids are doing which helps to see how they are progressing from a parents perspective. BIG fans! Thanks Rob!

5 Stars for Rob!! I'm a guitarist, and I have been performing with Rob consistently for five years. He is the leader of the group and a fantastic one. We take studio recordings that are often complex and have to to recreate them in a live setting for a small band. Rob is great at figuring out how to accomplish this and creates clear, easy to follow charts. He communicates well and knows how make the band sound its best. So in my experience, his teaching abilities are on point. He is funny, kind, talented and a joy to work with. I recommend him to you highly!! :)
